This measure, in the agency's opinion, will help prevent price increases on these goods, make them more affordable, and positively impact the market as a whole. 'The agency also reminds market participants of the importance of adhering to responsible pricing principles and avoiding unjustified price increases,' the FAS statement says. 'M.video' promised to prepare a list of goods whose prices will be fixed from the end of August to the end of September; 'Sitilink' conceptually supported the FAS initiative and also promised to prepare a list of goods; DNS declined to comment, RBC reports.

After the implementation of parallel import mechanisms, the landscape of brands in the Russian market has significantly changed. As of the first half of 2024, the five most popular smartphone brands included Redmi, Tecno, Realme, Infinix, and Samsung, while Apple was dropped from the list. In the laptop category, MSI lost its leading position to Asus and Huawei.
