This can be useful when cascading amplifiers over short distances, for example.<\/p>\n<p>After these manipulations, the signal goes through the first stage of the amplification cascade, after which we see another insertion that additionally reduces the gain. The next jumper again helps us to attenuate low frequencies to achieve the required slope. These two settings essentially act as a combination of an input attenuator and an equalizer, but working with the second stage of the cascade.<\/p>\n<p>At the output of the amplification cascade, we see <b>test tap<\/b>. This is a standard threaded connector to which a measuring device or television receiver can be connected to monitor the quality of the output signal. Not all devices and practically no televisions can handle a signal level of one hundred dBmV and above properly, so test taps on any equipment are always designed with an attenuation of 20-30dB from the actual output value. This should always be kept in mind when making measurements.<\/p>\n<p>Before the output, there is another insertion. In the photo of the amplifier, it can be seen that the arrow shown on it points only to the right output. This means that there will be no signal at the left.
