Po roce vývoje byl zveřejněn vydání multiplatformního interpreta klasických questů ScummVM 2.9.0, který nahrazuje spustitelné soubory pro hry a umožňuje hrát mnoho klasických her na platformách, pro které nebyly původně určeny. Kód projektu je distribuován pod licencí GPLv3+.
Celkem je zajištěna možnost spuštění více než 340 questů, včetně her společností LucasArts, Humongous Entertainment, Revolution Software, Cyan a Sierra, jako jsou Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Myst, Blade Runner, King's Quest 1-7, Space Quest 1-6, Discworld, Simon the Sorcerer, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress a The Legend of Kyrandia. Podporováno je spuštění her na platformách Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, PS Vita, Switch, Dreamcast, AmigaOS, Atari/FreeMiNT, RISC OS, Haiku, PSP, PS3, Maemo, GCW Zero a dalších.
