Projekt je \u0159\u00edzen Ericem Raymondem za \u00fa\u010dasti n\u011bkter\u00fdch v\u00fdvoj\u00e1\u0159\u016f p\u016fvodn\u00edho NTP Classic, in\u017een\u00fdr\u016f z firem Hewlett Packard a Akamai Technologies, stejn\u011b jako projekt\u016f GPSD a RTEMS.
