Použití podstatných jmen odvozených od sloves je také úředničina. Příčestí a gerundia jsou znakem úředničiny. Irina, tackling a problem, resembles a small, completely clueless child, who, believing they know something about this life that unexpectedly fell upon them, genuinely thinks that the computer, which they rightfully own, will endure and tolerate everything forever, silently, without ever showing its teeth, like a dog reeking from the rain of yesterday (man, what was I trying to say with this sentence…).

On one hand, one can delve deep and understand these rules and write sentences as long as a page, like Leo Tolstoy. So that later schoolchildren can suffer through them.

But there is a simple solution that will prevent you from ruining your sentence. Keep your sentences short. Not ‘It was getting dark.’, of course — I think one to two lines will be enough, no more. Following this rule, you won’t get confused.

Yes, and it’s better to keep paragraphs small. In today’s world, there’s something called “clip thinking” — a person is unable to absorb large chunks of information. Like a child, one needs to cut a cutlet into small pieces so they can eat them themselves with their fork. And if it’s not cut up, you’ll have to sit beside them and feed them.

Well, it’s simple from there. The next time you write a text, read it over before sending and look for: nominalizations, participles, and gerund phrases, sentences longer than one line, and paragraphs thicker than five lines. And revise them.
