Autor napsan\u00e9ho webov\u00e9ho frameworku v jazyce Rust actix-web<\/a><\/noindex> odstranil repuzit\u00e1\u0159e<\/a><\/noindex> po kritice za «nep\u0159esn\u00e9 pou\u017eit\u00ed» jazyka Rust. Framework actix-web, bal\u00ed\u010dek, kter\u00fd byl sta\u017een v\u00edce ne\u017e 800 tis\u00edckr\u00e1t, umo\u017e\u0148uje integrovat do aplikac\u00ed v jazyce Rust funk\u010dnost http-serveru a klienta, a p\u0159i v\u00fdvoji se zam\u011b\u0159uje na maxim\u00e1ln\u00ed v\u00fdkon a vede<\/a><\/noindex> v mnoha testech webov\u00fdch framework\u016f.<\/p>\n

Kr\u00e1tce p\u0159ed incidentem bylo na issues na GitHubu hl\u00e1\u0161eno o zji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed neur\u010dit\u00e9ho chov\u00e1n\u00ed (Undefined Behaviour) v k\u00f3du serveru actix-web, kter\u00e9 se vyskytuje ve bloku prov\u00e1d\u011bn\u00e9m v re\u017eimu unsafe<\/a><\/noindex> (povoluje prov\u00e1d\u011bn\u00ed nebezpe\u010dn\u00fdch operac\u00ed s ukazateli). Autor actix-web se rozhodl neodstranit blok unsafe, ale p\u0159epracoval vol\u00e1n\u00ed tohoto bloku tak, aby se neur\u010dit\u00e9 chov\u00e1n\u00ed nevyskytovalo. N\u00e1vrhy na odstran\u011bn\u00ed unsafe autor odm\u00edtl s odkazem na mo\u017enou ztr\u00e1tu v\u00fdkonu a uvedl, \u017ee unsafe nepou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 bez pot\u0159eby a je si jist\u00fd bezpe\u010dnost\u00ed pracuj\u00edc\u00edch blok\u016f v tomto re\u017eimu.<\/p>\n

\u00da\u010dastn\u00edk t\u00fdmu RustSec, kter\u00fd zjistil neur\u010dit\u00e9 chov\u00e1n\u00ed, nesouhlasil a nazna\u010dil, \u017ee pou\u017eit\u00ed mnoha unsafe blok\u016f v actix-web je neopodstatn\u011bn\u00e9. Pot\u00e9 publikoval
\n\u010dl\u00e1nek<\/a><\/noindex> o nep\u0159ijatelnosti pou\u017eit\u00ed unsafe, kde bylo mimo jin\u00e9 zm\u00edn\u011bno, \u017ee pou\u017eit\u00e1 metoda pr\u00e1ce s ukazateli ( n\u011bkolik m\u011bniteln\u00fdch ukazatel\u016f na stejn\u00e1 data) m\u016f\u017ee potenci\u00e1ln\u011b zp\u016fsobit vznik zranitelnost\u00ed use-after-free a neodpov\u00edd\u00e1 v\u00fdvojov\u00e9 paradigm\u011b jazyka Rust. <\/p>\n

Po diskuze<\/a><\/noindex> \u010dl\u00e1nky na Reddit<\/a><\/noindex>, v issues na GitHubu se nahrnuli<\/a><\/noindex> trolov\u00e9 a autor actix-web byl vystaven povodni kritiky<\/a><\/noindex> a ur\u00e1\u017ek\u00e1m za nespr\u00e1vn\u00e9 pou\u017eit\u00ed Rustu. Autor nevydr\u017eel psychick\u00fd tlak, odstranil repozit\u00e1\u0159<\/a><\/noindex> a napsal<\/a><\/noindex>, co\u017e ukon\u010dilo jeho \u010dinnost v Open Source.<\/p>\n
