Drew DeVault, autor u\u017eivatelsk\u00e9ho prost\u0159ed\u00ed Sway<\/a><\/noindex> a e-mailov\u00e9ho klienta Aerc<\/a><\/noindex>, pro z\u00e1bavu se pokusil vyvinout implementaci Git napsanou v POSIX Shell. N\u00e1pad vznikl po debat\u011b o slo\u017eitosti vnit\u0159n\u00ed struktury Git, po kter\u00e9 se Drew rozhodl demonstrovat sv\u00e9 argumenty t\u00edm, \u017ee b\u011bhem dne vytvo\u0159\u00ed funk\u010dn\u00ed variantu Git na \u010dist\u00e9m Shellu. B\u011bhem pr\u00e1ce si Drew uv\u011bdomil, \u017ee trochu p\u0159ehnal sv\u00e1 tvrzen\u00ed o jednoduchosti kv\u016fli pou\u017eit\u00ed bin\u00e1rn\u00edho form\u00e1tu indexu v Gitu, pro jeho\u017e zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed Shell nen\u00ed \u00fapln\u011b vhodn\u00fd. Ale bylo u\u017e pozd\u011b ustoupit a p\u0159etv\u00e1\u0159ej\u00edc\u00ed se mu poda\u0159ilo implementovat Git na Shellu. <\/p>\n

Projekt byl pojmenov\u00e1n shit<\/a><\/noindex> (Shell Git) a je pozicov\u00e1no v\u00fdhradn\u011b jako experiment za \u00fa\u010delem studia vnit\u0159nost\u00ed Git, nen\u00ed ur\u010deno k praktick\u00e9mu pou\u017eit\u00ed. Krom\u011b konstrukc\u00ed definovan\u00fdch v POSIX Shellu je v k\u00f3du vyu\u017eito n\u011bkolika GNU roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed, kter\u00e1 funguj\u00ed v BusyBoxu. K provozu je tak\u00e9 nutn\u00e1 knihovna zlib. P\u0159ipraven\u00e9 funkce jsou dostate\u010dn\u00e9 pro proveden\u00ed commitu do git repozit\u00e1\u0159e.
