Ifølge Statcounter service data, which tracks market share of web browsers, operating systems, search engines, etc., the share of Linux OS on PCs has reached a record high, exceeding 4%. Although this may seem small at first glance, it actually represents tens of millions of users worldwide. In addition, the service separately accounts for data from ChromeOS, which is also built on Linux.
It should also be noted that according to w3schools.com statistics, the share of Linux clients has been hovering around 4% for quite some time, but one must consider the specific nature of this resource, whose primary audience consists of web developers.
