Community Engagement Manager from Mozilla has published a list of upcoming improvements in Firefox that developers have already started working on:
- Tab grouping.
- The ability to vertically arrange the tab list and a revamped sidebar.

- A new profile management system allowing different types of activities (like studying, work, personal interests) to be separated yet easily accessible (expanding the idea of quick profile switching).
- Support for customizing the background of the page shown when opening a new tab. You will be able to set any image or change the color as the background.
- Intuitive privacy settings simplifying management of features related to protection against user tracking across websites.
- Overhauling the menu to emphasize the most important elements, reduce visual clutter, and highlight priority actions.
- Continuing work on performance optimization, reducing page loading times, speeding up launches, and decreasing power consumption during offline use. It is noted that the work already completed has improved Speedometer 3 test results by 20%.
- The Interop project aimed at improving compatibility between browsers, ensuring consistent support for web technologies across different browsers, identifying discrepancies in browser behavior, and simplifying website creation, working across all browsers.
- Integration of artificial intelligence-related capabilities, with models run on local systems without relying on external services. For instance, in the next quarter, Firefox will add support for generating textual descriptions for images within PDF documents, making it easier for individuals with visual impairments to work with information.
