Hyprland 0.52 compositing server is now available, utilizing the Wayland protocol. The project focuses on tiling window management but also supports traditional arbitrary window arrangements, tabbed window grouping, a pseudo-tiling mode, and full-screen window expansion. The code is written in C++ and is distributed under the BSD license.

- The IPC command "/dispatch forceidle" has been proposed, allowing enforced user inactivity for a specified number of seconds by resetting all ext-idle-notify timers.
- The IPC command "/dispatch fullscreen x y [set|unset|toggle]" has been added for activating and deactivating fullscreen mode.
- Settings for working with monitors that support color spaces DCIP3, dp3 (Apple P3), and Adobe have been introduced.
- The ability to set tablet rotation mode (which changes X and Y coordinates upon orientation change) for each input device that supports this feature has been added.
- In the layer rule (settings linked to a specific window placement layer), the option "noscreenshare" has been introduced to prevent the layer from being shown when screen sharing.
- A setting "cursor:zoom_disable_aa" has been added to control cursor rendering (pixelation or blurring) when zooming.
- A property "modal" has been added to window rules that define window behavior to create modal windows that block interaction with other application windows.
Additionally, the first releases of the Hyprtoolkit, developed by the Hyprland team for creating graphical interfaces in C++ that natively support Wayland, are noteworthy. Hyprtoolkit includes a simple C++ API for developing graphical applications, built-in support for animation effects, ties to Wayland, and a simplified theming system.
