Firefox Reality VR-browseren er nu tilgængelig for brugere af Oculus Quest-headsets

Mozilla's web browser for virtual reality has gained support for Facebook's Oculus Quest headsets. Previously, the browser was available for owners of HTC Vive Focus Plus, Lenovo Mirage, and others. However, the Oculus Quest headset is wireless, which literally 'frees' the user from being tethered to a PC, allowing for a new way to browse web pages.

In an official statement from the developers, it is mentioned that Firefox Reality VR utilizes the enhanced performance and power of Oculus Quest to provide a better web browsing experience in virtual reality.

Web browsers for virtual reality use web technology adapted for the VR space. This allows developers to create virtual three-dimensional environments that span multiple VR devices. Owners of Facebook's standalone headset will be able to interact with websites, watch videos, and immerse themselves in virtual reality through a browser that, among other features, includes built-in tracking protection by default, enhancing privacy while interacting with content.

Currently, the Firefox Reality browser supports 10 languages, including simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Later, the developers plan to integrate support for more languages.

It cannot be said that the arrival of Mozilla's browser on Oculus Quest is revolutionary, since users previously had the standard browser from the manufacturer. However, now owners of one of the most popular headsets on the virtual reality market have an alternative browser, likely to have many enthusiasts.
