Version 4.0 of the widely known financial accounting program
(income, expenses, bank accounts, stocks) GnuCash has been released. It features a hierarchical account system, can split a single transaction into multiple parts, and can directly import account data from the internet. It is based on professional accounting principles. It comes with a set of standard reports and allows you to create your own reports, both new and modified from the provided ones.
Significant changes include a command line tool for performing a number of functions outside the graphical interface, support for accounts receivable and payable, improved translation, and much more.
Nye funktioner:
A new separate executable module, gnucash-cli, for performing simple operations from the command line, such as updating prices in the book. There is also the ability to generate reports from the command line.
The column width used in invoices, bills, and employee vouchers can now be saved by default for each document type.
When deleting accounts, it checks that the target accounts onto which the balance is split have the same type.
Localization support added in the Python API.
A new transaction association dialog allows you to set, change, and remove associations.
Associations can be added to invoices. The actual association, when present, is added as a link displayed under the notes.
The attachment symbol is now displayed on transactions in the register when they have an attachment, and the selected font supports the symbol.
The OFX file importer can now import multiple files simultaneously. This feature does not work on MacOS.
The new Multicolumn report menu contains the old user custom multicolumn report and a new Dashboard report that includes expenses and income reports, income and expense charts, and an account summary.
Support for AQBanking version 6.
