Opdateringer til distributionen forventes at blive udgivet frem til april 2025.    <\/p>\n<p>Distributionen er bem\u00e6rkelsesv\u00e6rdig ved at udelukke alle ikke-frie komponenter, s\u00e5som bin\u00e6re drivere, firmware og grafiske elementer, der distribueres under ikke-frie licenser eller bruger registrerede varem\u00e6rker. P\u00e5 trods af det fulde frav\u00e6r af propriet\u00e6re komponenter er Trisquel kompatibel med Java (OpenJDK) og underst\u00f8tter de fleste audio- og videoformater, herunder arbejde med beskyttede DVD'er, ved kun at anvende helt frie implementeringer af disse teknologier. Som skriveborde tilbydes MATE (som standard), LXDE og KDE.     <\/p>\n<p>I den nye version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Bygningen af versioner til i686-arkitekturen er blevet stoppet, men versioner til ARM-arkitekturen (armhf) er blevet tilf\u00f8jet.
