U-Boot bootloader, primarily used in embedded devices, integrates a TCP stack and implements the ability for remote loading by delivering boot images using the HTTP protocol. Previously, only UDP-based protocols such as TFTP and NFS could be used for remote loading over the network. It is expected that HTTP support will significantly simplify the development of embedded systems, as HTTP servers are more common and familiar to developers. <\/p>\n

A new command `wget` has been added to U-Boot for loading images via HTTP. To activate the TCP stack and the `wget` command, configuration parameters CONFIG_PROT_TCP, CONFIG_PROT_TCP_SACK, and CONFIG_CMD_WGET have been proposed. Future plans include the implementation of HTTPS support and integration with UEFI HTTP boot.
