For enabling the automatic response function in the settings, a new section 'Cookie Banner Reduction' has been added under Security and Privacy (about:preferences#privacy). Currently, this section only contains the 'Reduce Cookie Banners' flag, which, when selected, will cause Firefox to decline cookie storage requests on behalf of the user for a predefined list of websites. <\/p>\n
For finer tuning, the about:config includes parameters 'cookiebanners.service.mode' and 'cookiebanners.service.mode.privateBrowsing', where setting 0 disables the automatic closure of cookie banners; 1 \u2014 always declines permission requests and ignores banners that only allow consent; 2 \u2014 attempts to decline permission requests where possible, and where it's not possible, agrees to cookie storage. Unlike a similar mode provided in the Brave browser and ad blockers, Firefox does not hide the block but automates the user's actions with it.
