Blandt de underst\u00f8ttede platforme er: GNU\/Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, Android, macOS, Win32 og z\/OS. Biblioteket distribueres under LGPL 2.1+-licensen. I samlet tilstand fylder biblioteket cirka 32 KB.    <\/p>\n<p>Biblioteket underst\u00f8tter HTTP 1.1-protokollen, TLS, inkrementel behandling af POST-anmodninger, basic- og digest-godkendelse, IPv6, SHOUTcast, forskellige metoder til multiplexing af forbindelser (select, poll, epoll) og multitr\u00e5dede modeller (for eksempel kan der bruges en tr\u00e5dpool eller en tr\u00e5d pr. forbindelse). For at reducere overhead, der opst\u00e5r ved konteksskift mellem kernen og brugerrummet, er antallet af systemopkald under anvendelse minimeret.      <\/p>\n<p>De mest i\u00f8jefaldende \u00e6ndringer:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> API'et introducerer en ny funktion MHD_get_version_bin() til at hente oplysninger om bibliotekets version i pakket format (f.eks. 0x00097701).\n<li class=\"l\"> Til den anbefalede form i RFC er der angivet identifikatorer for de algoritmer, der bruges til digest-godkendelse (\"MD5\" \/ \"SHA-256\" i stedet for \"md5\" \/ \"sha-256\").\n<li class=\"l\"> Koden til dekodning af blokke i Base64-format er blevet omskrevet, og kontrol af inddata i Base64-format er blevet styrket.\n<li class=\"l\"> Forbedret konfiguration af krydskompilering, \u00f8get kompatibilitet med POSIX og nye udgaver af kompilatorer.\n<li class=\"l\"> Interne tests tilf\u00f8jet til at kontrollere dekodning af Base64, Basic Auth og foldede lange HTTP-overskrifter.\n<li class=\"l\"> De opdaterede API-tests i biblioteket libcurl er blevet brugt til at skjule advarsler om brug af for\u00e6ldede opkald.\n<li class=\"l\"> Muligheden for at bruge VC (Visual C) kompilatorer ved opbygning til ARM- og ARM64-systemer er blevet tilf\u00f8jet.\n<li class=\"l\"> Enhver negativ v\u00e6rdi, der returneres fra callback-opkald, betragtes nu som en fejl (tidligere kunne negative v\u00e6rdier, bortset fra pr\u00e6definerede fejlkoder, f\u00f8re til uventet adf\u00e6rd).\n<li class=\"l\"> Behandlingen af pr\u00e6processor-makroen \"DEBUG\" er
