SquashFS fungerer i skrivebeskyttet tilstand og giver en meget kompakt repr\u00e6sentation af metadata og opbevaring af data i komprimeret form. Driveren er implementeret p\u00e5 kerneniveau, underst\u00f8tter arbejdet med udgivelsen FreeBSD 13.2, og g\u00f8r det blandt andet muligt at starte FreeBSD fra et SquashFS-filsystem, der er placeret i RAM.    <\/p>\n<p>Blandt andre resultater n\u00e6vnt i rapporten:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Der er udf\u00f8rt arbejde for at afhj\u00e6lpe ulemper ved brugen af FreeBSD p\u00e5 skrivebordet. For eksempel er desktop-installer-porten, der muligg\u00f8r hurtig installation og konfiguration af enhver brugergr\u00e6nseflade eller vinduesmanager i FreeBSD, blevet tilf\u00f8jet med output af meddelelser om batteriniveauet. Gennem portene deskutils\/qmediamanager, sysutils\/devd-mount og sysutils\/npmount er der sikret montering af tilsluttede medier og output af en meddelelse med oplysninger om filsystemet og mulige handlingsmuligheder (start af filh\u00e5ndtering, formatering, kopiering af billede, afmontering). Der er tilf\u00f8jet en port deskutils\/freebsd-update-notify, der viser meddelelser om tilg\u00e6ngelige opdateringer og muligg\u00f8r hurtig, automatisk installation af opdateringer til grundsystemet, porte og pakker.\n<li class=\"l\"> Samlingen af FreeBSD-porte er i rapporteringsperioden steget fra 34400 til 34600 porte. Antallet af uafsluttede PR'er ligger p\u00e5 omkring 3000 (730 PR'er er endnu ikke behandlet). I HEAD-grenen er der foretaget 11454 \u00e6ndringer fra 130 udviklere. Blandt de v\u00e6sentlige opdateringer er: Mono 5.20, Perl 5.34, PostgreSQL 15, LibreOffice 7.6.2, KDE 5.27.8, KDE Gear 23.08, Rust 1.72.0, Wine 8.0.2, GCC 13.2.0, GitLab 16.3.\n<li class=\"l\"> I infrastrukturen for Linux-emulering (Linuxulator) er der implementeret underst\u00f8ttelse af systemopkald xattr og ioprio, hvilket muligg\u00f8r k\u00f8rsel af rsync- og debootstrap-v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer samlet til Linux.\n<li class=\"l\"> Porten med skrivebordet Pantheon, der udvikles af Linux-distributionen Elementary OS, er blevet opdateret.\n<li class=\"l\"> Underst\u00f8ttelse af oprettelse af snapshots af UFS- og FFS-filsystemer, hvor journaling (soft updates) er aktiveret, er aktiveret.
