Kildekoden er frit tilg\u00e6ngelig, uden registreringer eller SMS. Repositoryet st\u00f8ttes og vedligeholdes af medlemmerne af OpenELA-foreningen.<\/p>\n<p>I fremtiden planl\u00e6gges det at udvikle v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til at oprette sin egen distribution af Enterprise Linux, samt tilf\u00f8jelse af kildekoden til RHEL 7. <\/p>\n<p>Repositoryet er opst\u00e5et som f\u00f8lge af lukningen af git.centos.org af IBM i forhold til offentligg\u00f8relsen af kildekoderne til Red Hat Enterprise Linux, samt som f\u00f8lge af indf\u00f8relsen af forbud mod redistribution til Red Hat-kunder.<\/p>\n<p>For at kuratere foreningen er der oprettet en NGO, som vil besk\u00e6ftige sig med de juridiske og \u00f8konomiske aspekter af projektet OpenELA, mens en teknisk styringskomit\u00e9 (Technical Steering Committee) vil forest\u00e5 beslutningstagning,
