Distributionen skiller sig ud ved sine h\u00f8je sikkerhedskrav og er samlet med SSP (Stack Smashing Protection). OpenRC bruges som initialiseringssystem, og en egen paketmanager, apk, anvendes til pakkeh\u00e5ndtering. Alpine anvendes til at generere officielle Docker container billeder og bruges i PostmarketOS projektet. Bootable iso-billeder (x86_64, x86, armhf, aarch64, armv7, ppc64le, s390x) er forberedt i seks varianter: standard (207 MB), med et patch-frit kerne (204 MB), udvidet (957 MB), til <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/da\/vps\/\"   title=\"virtual machines\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2067\">virtual machines<\/a> (60 MB) og til Xen hypervisor (239 MB).     <\/p>\n<p>I den nye version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Linux-kernen er opdateret til version 6.6 (den tidligere version leverede kerne 6.1).\n<li class=\"l\"> Pakkernes versioner er blevet opdateret, herunder udgivelserne af GCC 13.2, LLVM 17, GNOME 45, LXQt 1.4, KDE Applications 23.08, KDE Frameworks 5.112, Perl 5.38, Xen 4.18, PostgreSQL 16, Node.js 20.10, Ceph 18.2, Go 1.21, OpenJDK 21, PHP 8.3, Erlang 26, Rust 1.72, yggdrasil 0.5, PipeWire 1.0.0,\n<li class=\"l\"> Der er tilf\u00f8jet st\u00f8tte til Raspberry Pi 5 boards.\n<li class=\"l\"> iptables-pakken iptables-nft anvendes som standard backend til iptables.\n<li class=\"l\"> Kernelpakkerne til Raspberry Pi 2 (linux-rpi2) og Raspberry Pi 4 (linux-rpi4) er blevet samlet i en enkelt pakke linux-rpi.\n<li class=\"l\"> Kataloget med Python-pakker er m\u00e6rket som administreret af et eksternt v\u00e6rkt\u00f8j (pip kan ikke l\u00e6ngere installere pakker i systemkataloget, hvis indholdet styres af apk-paketh\u00e5ndteringen).
