Konfigurationen af SMTP-serveren dannes af filen chasquid.conf med grundl\u00e6ggende parametre og en samling mapper med navne p\u00e5 de betjente <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/da\/domain\/\"   title=\"domenenavne\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"903\">domenenavne<\/a>, hvor relaterede dom\u00e6ne-filer placeres for at matche email-adresser med brugere, databaseparametre til opbevaring af brugeroplysninger, TLS-certifikater osv. Til oprettelse og redigering af brugerbasen for hver dom\u00e6ne anvendes v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jet chasquid-util.\n<li class=\"l\"> For filtering emails and eliminating spam, a hook system is used, allowing a handler to be connected that is triggered at the final stage of receiving a message.
