Som standard anvender GhostBSD filsystemet ZFS. B\u00e5de Live-tilstand og installation p\u00e5 harddisk underst\u00f8ttes (den egeninstallerede ginstall, skrevet i Python, anvendes). Boot- billeder er dannet for arkitekturen x86_64.<\/p>\n<p>I den nye version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">X.Org Server er udskiftet med en fork af XLibre. Som \u00e5rsager til udskiftningen n\u00e6vnes projektet X.Org's forladte karakter og tabet af h\u00e5b om, at det nogensinde vil komme ud af stagnationen, i takt med at alle Red Hats bestr\u00e6belser skifter fokus mod implementeringen af Wayland og hensigten om at stoppe st\u00f8tten til X11 i GTK5. If\u00f8lge GhostBSD's vedligeholder er projekterne MATE, Xfce og GNUstep endnu ikke klar til overgangen til Wayland, og vedligeholdernes handlinger med X.Org fremst\u00e5r destruktive og irrationelle p\u00e5 grund af fjernelsen af \u00e6ndringer skabt af forfatteren af XLibre.<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">Overgangen til FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE er gennemf\u00f8rt (den tidligere distribution var baseret
