Distributionen er bin\u00e6rt kompatibel med Red Hat Enterprise Linux og kan bruges som en erstatning for RHEL 10.2 og CentOS 10 Stream. St\u00f8tten til Rocky Linux 10-grenen vil vare frem til 2035. Installations-ISO-billederne for Rocky Linux er forberedt til arkitekturerne x86-64-v3, aarch64, ppc64le (IBM POWER), s390x (IBM Z) og riscv64. Derudover tilbydes live-versioner med skriveborde GNOME og KDE, offentliggjort for arkitekturen x86_64.<\/p>\n<p>Som i den klassiske CentOS er de overordnede \u00e6ndringer i pakkerne Rocky Linux hovedsageligt rettet mod at fjerne forbindelsen til Red Hat-m\u00e6rket og slette RHEL-specifikke pakker s\u00e5som redhat-*, insights-client og subscription-manager-migration*. En oversigt over \u00e6ndringerne i Rocky Linux 10.2 kan findes i annoncen for RHEL 10.2. <\/p>\n<p>Blandt de specifikke \u00e6ndringer i Rocky Linux kan n\u00e6vnes den officielle st\u00f8tte til RISC-V-arkitekturen, som er implementeret for StarFive VisionFive 2 (VF2) og SiFive HiFive Premier P550 platforme samt for brug i QEMU emulatoren. Desuden udvikler projektet flere egne repositories med ekstra pakker:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">  sikkerhed \u2014 planlagte publikationer af hastende opdateringer til pakker med udbedring af
