Projektet l\u00f8ser opgaver, der ligner den propriet\u00e6re l\u00f8sning Resilio Sync (tidligere BitTorrent Sync). Syncspirit er skrevet i C++ og distribueres under GPLv3-licensen. Den grafiske gr\u00e6nseflade er bygget ved hj\u00e6lp af FLTK-biblioteket; til opbevaring af databasen bruges den indenlandske indlejrede DBMS libmdbx; til eventsynkronisering anvendes akt\u00f8rframeworket rotor. F\u00e6rdige builds er tilg\u00e6ngelige for Linux (x86_64, AppImage), Windows (Windows XP underst\u00f8ttes) og macOS.<\/p>\n<p>Syncspirit er en uafh\u00e6ngig implementation af synkroniseringsprotokollen BEP, foresl\u00e5et af projektet Syncthing. De synkroniserede data uploades ikke til tredjeparts cloud-lagring, men replikeres direkte mellem brugerens systemer, n\u00e5r de samtidig er online.
