I Linux From Scratch gives der instruktioner til at bygge et grundl\u00e6ggende Linux-system fra bunden ved hj\u00e6lp af kildekoden til det n\u00f8dvendige software. Derudover udvikles udgaven Beyond Linux From Scratch, som supplerer LFS-instruktionerne med information om samling og konfiguration af omkring 1000 softwarepakker, der d\u00e6kker forskellige anvendelsesomr\u00e5der, fra databaser og servere til grafiske brugerflader og medieafspillere. Udgivelsen af BLFS 13.1 forventes at blive offentliggjort i de n\u00e6rmeste dage.      <\/p>\n<p>I Linux From Scratch 13.1 er 46 pakker opdateret, herunder Linux-kernen 7.1.8, Systemd 261.2, GCC 16.2.0, Glibc 2.44, Binutils 2.47, Coreutils 9.11, OpenSSL 4.0.1, Vim 9.2.1025, Perl 5.44.0, Util-linux 2.42.2. Den matematiske biblioteker mpdecimal 4.0.1 er tilf\u00f8jet. Pakkerne XML-Parser og intltool er fjernet og flyttet til BLFS-udgaven. Fejl i opstarts scripts er rettet, og redaktionelt arbejde er udf\u00f8rt p\u00e5 den forklarende tekst i hele bogen.           <\/p>\n<p>Udover LFS og BLFS er der tidligere blevet udgivet flere ekstra b\u00f8ger inden for projektet:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \"Automated Linux From Scratch\" \u2013 et framework til automatisering af opbygningen af LFS-systemet og pakkeadministration;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \"Cross Linux From Scratch\" \u2013 en beskrivelse af tv\u00e6rplatformopbygningen af LFS-systemet, underst\u00f8tter arkitekturer: x86, x86_64, sparc, mips, PowerPC, alpha, hppa, arm;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \"Hardened Linux From Scratch\" \u2013 instruktioner til at forbedre sikkerheden i LFS, anvendelse af yderligere patches og begr\u00e6nsninger;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \"LFS Hints\" \u2013 en samling af yderligere tips med beskrivelser af alternative l\u00f8sninger til de trin, der er beskrevet i LFS og BLFS.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abMultilib Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 guide til installation af Multilib for at k\u00f8re 32-bit programmer i 64-bit milj\u00f8er.\n<li class=\"l\">  \u00abGaming Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 installationsvejledning til LFS computer spil og relaterede programmer som Steam og Wine.
