Den tilf\u00f8jede funktion g\u00f8r det muligt at blokere annoncemateriale og kode til sporing af brugerens bev\u00e6gelser, f\u00f8r det bliver indl\u00e6st. I mods\u00e6tning til den integrerede adblock-komponent i desktop-versionen af Firefox, anvender iOS-versionen teknologien Content Blocker, der leveres af Apple WebKit-motoren. For at aktivere blokeringen er der tilf\u00f8jet en indstilling i menuen \u00abIndstillinger &gt; Browsing &gt; Annonceblokker\u00bb, som er deaktiveret som standard.    <\/p>\n<p>Som filterliste til annoncesortering anvendes EasyList, men i blokeringsteknologien anvendes en bl\u00f8d filtreringsmetode \u2014 kun eksterne annoncematerialer bliver blokeret. Indhold, der vises direkte af hjemmesiden, og annoncer i s\u00f8geresultaterne falder ikke under blokeringen.
