For the launch of new games developed in close collaboration with AMD, the company has recently been releasing special videos that highlight optimizations and balanced settings. The previous videos focused on Devil May Cry 5 and the remake of Resident Evil 2 from Capcom — both projects use the RE Engine. The new video concerns the cooperative action game Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 from publisher Ubisoft.

In the trailer, the company mentions close collaboration with developers, which has enabled the project to benefit from several Radeon graphics card technologies. For example, AMD talks about support for asynchronous computing, allowing the GPU to effectively handle graphical and computational loads simultaneously. Another technology, Shader Intrinsic Functions, enables developers to access the hardware directly, bypassing the graphic API, which also improves performance and reduces CPU load. As a result, the project gains almost the same advantages of low-level access as on consoles.

The manufacturer states that owners of Radeon RX 570 and higher can confidently expect a frame rate of up to 70 frames per second in DirectX 12 mode at high quality settings and a resolution of 1920 × 1080. Accelerators Radeon RX 580 and 590 allow playing at the same resolution with a frame rate of 60 frames per second at maximum graphics quality.

Finally, owners of Radeon VII, RX Vega 56, and 64 can achieve a frame rate of 60 frames per second at a resolution of 2560 × 1440 with maximum graphics quality. Only the Radeon VII can provide a similarly comfortable gaming experience in 4K at high settings. It is also worth mentioning that the project supports AMD FreeSync frame synchronization technology for a more enjoyable gaming experience. Of course, it is recommended to download the latest driver for optimal performance.

AMD reiterated that new buyers of its graphics cards in the RX 570 class and above can receive The Division 2 for free, along with Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 (2019), as part of the campaign ‘Join the game fully armed’, which ends on April 6. According to the official website, it is supported in Russia by retail chains such as Citilink, E2E4, MegaBit, Oldi, Online Trade, and Ulmart.
