Projektets kode er skrevet i Go og <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.sr.ht\/~sircmpwn\/aerc\/tree\">distribueres<\/a><\/noindex> under MIT-licens. Projektet ledes af Drew DeVault, udvikler <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50800\">Sway<\/a><\/noindex>, en kompositionsadministrator baseret
