Opgaverne, som distributionen udf\u00f8rer, ligner det propriet\u00e6re produkt Norton Ghost. St\u00f8rrelse <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/clonezilla\/files\/clonezilla_live_stable\/2.6.2-15\/\">iso-billede<\/a><\/noindex> distributions \u2014 272 MB (i686, amd64).<\/p>\n<p>Distributionen er baseret p\u00e5 Debian GNU\/Linux og bruger kode fra projekter som DRBL, Partition Image, ntfsclone, partclone, udpcast. Opstart er mulig fra CD\/DVD, USB Flash og netv\u00e6rk (PXE). LVM2 og filsystemer som ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, xfs, jfs, FAT, NTFS, HFS+ (macOS), UFS, minix og VMFS (VMware ESX) underst\u00f8ttes. Der er en massekloningsfunktion via netv\u00e6rk, herunder med multicast, som muligg\u00f8r kloning af den oprindelige disk til mange klientmaskiner p\u00e5 \u00e9n gang.
