Coreboot er meget minimalistisk, og det giver desuden omfattende muligheder for indbyggede udvidelser s\u00e5som v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jet til at vise detaljerede systeminformationer coreinfo og Tetris tint, samt diskoperativsystemer: Kolibri, FreeDOS, MichalOS, Memtest, Snowdrop, FloppyBird m.fl.<\/p>\n<p>I den nye version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Koden for mange platforme er ryddet op og ensrettet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Underst\u00f8ttelsen af chipsets Mediatek 8173 og AMD Picasso 17h (Ryzen) samt RISC-V er blevet betydeligt forbedret.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>St\u00f8tten til vboot (den frie pendant til propriet\u00e6rt SecureBoot) er blevet udvidet \u2014 det var oprindeligt kun tilg\u00e6ngeligt p\u00e5 Chromebooks, men nu er det ogs\u00e5 kommet til andet hardware.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>25 nye bundkort er tilf\u00f8jet:<\/p>\n<p>AMD Padmelon,<br \/>\nASUS P5QL-EM,<br \/>\nEmulation QEMU-AARCH64,<br \/>\nGoogle Akemi \/ Arcada CML \/ Damu \/ Dood \/ Drallion \/ Dratini \/ Jacuzzi \/ Juniper \/ Kakadu \/ Kappa \/ Puff \/ Sarien CML \/ Treeya \/ Trogdor,<br \/>\nLenovo R60,<br \/>\nLenovo T410,<br \/>\nLenovo Thinkpad T440P,<br \/>\nLenovo X301,<br \/>\nRazer Blade-Stealth KBL,<br \/>\nSiemens MC-APL6,<br \/>\nSupermicro X11SSH-TF \/ X11SSM-F.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>St\u00f8tten til det eneste underst\u00f8ttede MIPS-bundkort (Google Urara) og MIPS-arkitekturen generelt er blevet fjernet, samt bundkortet AMD Torpedo og koden AMD AGESA 12h.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Den native initialisering af Intel-grafikkort i libgfxinit-biblioteket er blevet forbedret.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>S\u00f8vntilstanden er blevet rettet p\u00e5 nogle AMD-bundkort, inklusive Lenovo G505S.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><noindex><noindex><\/p>\n<p>I den n\u00e6rmeste tid efter udgivelsen planl\u00e6gges det at fjerne mange bundkort, der ikke underst\u00f8tter &laquo;relocatable ramstage&raquo;, &laquo;C bootblock&raquo; og platforme, der bruger &laquo;Cache as RAM&raquo; uden postcar-fasen.
