Men for at styre adgangen til about:config i Fenix  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=1540065#c17\">tilf\u00f8jet<\/a><\/noindex> indstillingen aboutConfigEnabled, som giver mulighed for at genaktivere about:config efter behov.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c5rsagen til \u00f8nsket om at begr\u00e6nse adgangen til about:config n\u00e6vnes i situationen, hvor Fennec (den gamle Firefox til Android) kunne g\u00f8res ubrugelig ved en uforsigtig \u00e6ndring af about:config. If\u00f8lge initiativtageren til \u00e6ndringen b\u00f8r brugere ikke have adgang til usikre m\u00e5der at \u00e6ndre parametrene i Gecko-motoren. Som alternativer blev det ogs\u00e5 foresl\u00e5et at blokere farlige indstillinger ved at indf\u00f8re en whitelist over omkostningsfaktorer, der kan \u00e6ndres, eller at tilf\u00f8je en ny sektion
