Regolith er baseret p\u00e5 GNOME-sessionh\u00e5ndteringsteknologier og vinduesmanageren <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/i3wm.org\/\">i3<\/a><\/noindex>.  Projektet er udviklet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/regolith-linux\">distribueres<\/a><\/noindex> under GPLv3-licensen. Til download <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/regolith-linux.org\/download\/\">er forberedt<\/a><\/noindex> som en f\u00e6rdig <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/regolith-linux\/regolith-desktop\/releases\/tag\/R1.4\">iso-billede<\/a><\/noindex> Ubuntu 20.04 med Regolith forudinstalleret, samt <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~regolith-linux\">PPA-repositorier<\/a><\/noindex> til Ubuntu 18.04 og 20.04.<\/p>\n<p>Projektet positionerer sig som et moderne skrivebordsumg\u00f8rende, der udvikles til hurtigere udf\u00f8relse af typiske opgaver gennem optimering af arbejdsgange og reduktion af un\u00f8dvendig rod. M\u00e5let er at give en funktionel, men minimalistisk gr\u00e6nseflade, der kan tilpasses og udvides afh\u00e6ngigt af brugerens pr\u00e6ferencer. Panelet er bygget med i3bar, og til at k\u00f8re automatiseringsscripts benyttes i3xrocks baseret p\u00e5 i3blocks.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sessionh\u00e5ndteringen er baseret p\u00e5 sessionmanageren fra gnome-flashback og gdm3. Nogle funktioner fra GNOME Flashback er ogs\u00e5 brugt for at forenkle systemadministration, interfacekonfiguration, automounting af enheder og styring af forbindelse til tr\u00e5dl\u00f8se netv\u00e6rk. Liste over applikationer kan tilg\u00e5s n\u00e5r som helst ved hj\u00e6lp af tastaturkombinationen super+space.
