Den prim\u00e6re implementering af denne protokol er en messenger med st\u00f8tte til VoIP-signalering, men der er ogs\u00e5 andre muligheder, da dette er en generel protokol.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>Den vigtigste \u00e6ndring i de frigivne klienter til <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riot-web\/releases\/tag\/v1.6.0\">browseren og Electron-wrapperen (1.6.0)<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riotX-android\/releases\/tag\/v0.19.0\">Android (0.19.0)<\/a> og <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riot-ios\/releases\/tag\/v0.11.2\">iOS (0.11.1-0.11.2)<\/a> var, at end-to-end kryptering for private samtaler nu er aktiveret som standard. Kryptering muligg\u00f8res gennem protokollen <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.matrix.org\/matrix-org\/olm\/blob\/master\/docs\/olm.md\">Olm<\/a>, som er baseret p\u00e5 protokollen fra Signal-messenger. Krypteringen af gruppe-samtaler anvender en udvidelse af protokollen kaldet <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.matrix.org\/matrix-org\/olm\/-\/blob\/master\/docs\/megolm.md\">Megolm<\/a>, som tillader dekryptering af beskeder flere gange.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>For f\u00f8rste gang blev valgfri kryptering <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/matrix.org\/blog\/2016\/11\/21\/matrixs-olm-end-to-end-encryption-security-assessment-released-and-implemented-cross-platform-on-riot-at-last\">pr\u00e6senteret i 2016<\/a>. Den blev som standard aktiveret i eksperimentelle builds under FOSDEM 2020.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p>Siden den f\u00f8rste udgivelse af krypteringsimplementeringen er f\u00f8lgende funktioner blevet tilf\u00f8jet:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>klienten kan anmode om n\u00f8gler til dekryptering af beskeder fra andre klienter af brugeren eller fra samtalepartnerens klienter;<\/li>\n<li>der er blevet oprettet en serverlager for klienters krypteringsn\u00f8gler, beskyttet af en hemmelig s\u00e6tning;<\/li>\n<li>udover verifikation af enheder via fingeraftryk (fingerprint), er der ogs\u00e5 blevet tilf\u00f8jet verifikation med emoji-symboler.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I fremtiden planl\u00e6gges det at aktivere kryptering som standard ikke kun for private samtaler, men ogs\u00e5 for uofficielle rum generelt, inklusive grupper.<\/p>\n<p>Der n\u00e6vnes ogs\u00e5:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>introduktion af et nyt UI til kryptering;<\/li>\n<li>verifikation af enheder med QR-koder;<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/matrix-org\/seshat\">s\u00f8gning i historikken for krypterede beskeder<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>endelig stabilisering af driften.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>S\u00f8gning i krypterede rum er allerede tilg\u00e6ngelig via <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/stoically\/radical\">Firefox-udvidelsen Radical<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>For easier management of encryption keys, the developers of the Matrix protocol introduced a mechanism called \"cross-signing.\" It allows the automatic verification of other user devices using an already verified device. When this mechanism is in operation, two conversation partners only need to verify their devices once, rather than for each device separately.
