For at sikre portabilitet er dele af koden fra projekterne OpenNTPD, OpenSSH og LibreSSL blevet anvendt. Udover OpenBSD er der erkl\u00e6ret support for Linux og FreeBSD. Arbejdet med OpenBGPD er testet p\u00e5 Debian 9, Ubuntu 14.04+ og FreeBSD 12. <\/p>\n<p>Udviklingen af OpenBGPD sker med <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49682\">st\u00f8tte fra<\/a><\/noindex> den regionale internetregistrator RIPE NCC, der er interesseret i at g\u00f8re funktionaliteten af OpenBGPD brugbar p\u00e5 servere til routing i interexchange punkter (IXP) og i at skabe et komplet alternativ til pakken <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bird.network.cz\/\">BIRD<\/a><\/noindex> (andre \u00e5bne alternativer med implementering af BGP-protokollen inkluderer projekterne <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=46323\">FRRouting<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=44268\">GoBGP<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Exa-Networks\/exabgp\">ExaBGP<\/a><\/noindex> og <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/bio-routing\/bio-rd\">Bio-Routing<\/a><\/noindex>). <\/p>\n<p>I udviklingen af OpenBGPD er der lagt s\u00e6rlig v\u00e6gt p\u00e5 at sikre det maksimale niveau af sikkerhed og p\u00e5lidelighed. For at beskytte systemet anvendes streng validering af alle parametre, v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til at kontrollere overholdelse af buffergr\u00e6nser, privilegiedeling og begr\u00e6nsning af adgang til systemopkald. Fordele omfatter ogs\u00e5 et brugervenligt syntaks for konfigurationsbeskrivelsessprog, h\u00f8j ydeevne og effektivitet i arbejdet med hukommelse (for eksempel kan OpenBGPD arbejde med routingtabeller, der indeholder hundrede tusinde posteringer). The 'bgpctl show neighbor' command now provides the reason for the last received error;\n<li class=\"l\"> To ensure the correct execution of the 'graceful reload' operation, deprecated prefixes in the
