Koden til OTOBO er skrevet i Perl og <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/RotherOSS\/otobo\">distribueres<\/a><\/noindex> under GPLv3 licens.<\/p>\n<p>Stefan Rother, nuv\u00e6rende grundl\u00e6gger og administrerende direkt\u00f8r for Rother OSS, sluttede sig til OTRS GmbH (i dag OTRS AG) i 2004. I 2011 grundlagde han sin egen virksomhed, Rother OSS. I 2019 fokuserede Rother OSS p\u00e5 at levere forretningstjenester relateret til OTRS varianter med \u00e5ben kildekode.
