I Linux From Scratch gives der instruktioner til at opbygge et grundl\u00e6ggende Linux-system fra bunden ved kun at bruge kildekoderne til det n\u00f8dvendige software. Beyond Linux From Scratch supplerer LFS instruktionerne med information om at bygge og konfigurere omkring 1000 softwarepakker, der d\u00e6kker forskellige anvendelsesomr\u00e5der, fra databaser og serversystemer til grafiske gr\u00e6nseflader og medieafspillere.<\/p>\n<p>I Linux From Scratch 10 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/linuxfromscratch.org\/lfs\/view\/10.0\/chapter01\/whatsnew.html\">er gennemf\u00f8rt<\/a><\/noindex> Opdatering til Glibc 2.32, GCC 10.2.0, SysVinit 2.97 og Systemd 246. 35 pakker er blevet opdateret, herunder Linux-kernen 5.8.3, binutils 2.35, Bison 3.7.1, Coreutils 8.32, E2fsprogs 1.45.6, Gawk 5.1.0, IPRoute2 5.8.0, Meson 0.55.0, Openssl 1.1.1g, Perl 5.32.0, Python 3.8.5, Util-Linux 2.36 og Vim 8.2.1361.
