Indtil brugen af BIOS 0057 fungerede Linux, FreeBSD, og NetBSD uden problemer (der var et separat problem med OpenBSD), men efter opdateringen til BIOS 0058, opstod der systemfejl ved brug af Linux og Unix-lignende operativsystemer p\u00e5 denne computer p\u00e5 grund af ACPI-problemer. Licenseret Windows 10 fungerede fint p\u00e5 denne computer.      <\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5 det officielle Intel NUC-forum blev der offentliggjort en fejlrapport i midten af januar 2021. Fejlen blev bekr\u00e6ftet af omkring ti brugere, der stod overfor et lignende problem efter opdateringen. Intel fjernede version 0058 fra 'Software Download Center' og tilb\u00f8d enten at udskifte udstyret eller vente p\u00e5 en BIOS-opdatering. Den 25. februar 2021 blev der p\u00e5 Intel NUC-forummet annonceret lanceringen af en ny BIOS, som indtil videre kun er tilg\u00e6ngelig for et begr\u00e6nset antal beta-testere.
