Die erste Version der Distribution Floppinux wurde vorgestellt, bei deren Entwicklung der Versuch unternommen wurde, eine minimalistische Distribution zu schaffen, die auf die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe einer 3,5-Zoll-Diskette passt, unter Verwendung der aktuellsten Versionen von Systemkomponenten wie dem Linux-Kernel 5.13.0-rc2 und der Busybox-Utility-Sammlung 1.33.1. <\/p>\n

Die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des vorbereiteten bootf\u00e4higen Images betr\u00e4gt 1,44 MiB, wobei der Kernel 632 KiB einnimmt und die Komponenten des Benutzerspeichers \u2014 552 KiB. F\u00fcr Benutzeranwendungen verbleiben 272 KiB an freiem Speicherplatz (du -h). Als minimale Systemanforderungen wird Hardware mit einem i486DX-Prozessor und 24 MB RAM angegeben. <\/p>\n

Der Entwickler hat ein Handbuch erstellt, das es erm\u00f6glicht, ein \u00e4hnliches minimalistisches Image f\u00fcr den Einsatz in eingebetteten Systemen mit begrenzten Ressourcen als Shell zur Ausf\u00fchrung eigener spezialisierter Anwendungen zu erstellen. Zur Testdurchf\u00fchrung kann QEMU (\"qemu-system-i386 -fda floppinux.img\") verwendet werden. <\/p>\n

Der Kernel und BusyBox wurden mit der minimal m\u00f6glichen Startkonfiguration (\"make ARCH=x86 tinyconfig\" und \"make allnoconfig\") kompiliert. Im Kernel wurde die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr RAM-Disk, TTY, printk, ELF und das Parsen von Skripthedern \"#!\" aktiviert. BusyBox wurde mit statischem Linking erstellt und enth\u00e4lt die Tools vi, ash, mount, umount, init, less, cat, du, echo, ls, sleep, uname, poweroff, clear, reboot. F\u00fcr das Booten wird syslinux verwendet.
