Die erste Ausgabe des neuen Zweigs 1.34 wird als instabil positioniert; eine vollst\u00e4ndige Stabilisierung wird in der Version 1.34.1 gew\u00e4hrleistet, die voraussichtlich in etwa einem Monat erscheinen wird. Der Projektcode wird unter der GPLv2-Lizenz ver\u00f6ffentlicht.      <\/p>\n<p>Die modulare Natur von BusyBox erm\u00f6glicht es, eine einheitliche ausf\u00fchrbare Datei zu erstellen, die eine beliebige Sammlung der im Paket implementierten Utilities enth\u00e4lt (jede Utility ist als symbolischer Link zu dieser Datei verf\u00fcgbar). Gr\u00f6\u00dfe, Inhalt und Funktionalit\u00e4t der Sammlung k\u00f6nnen je nach den Bed\u00fcrfnissen und M\u00f6glichkeiten der eingebetteten Plattform, f\u00fcr die das Set erstellt wird, variiert werden. Das Paket ist eigenst\u00e4ndig; bei statischer Kompilierung mit uclibc sind zur Erstellung eines funktionierenden Systems \u00fcber dem Linux-Kernel nur einige Ger\u00e4tedateien im Verzeichnis \/dev zu erstellen und Konfigurationsdateien vorzubereiten. Im Vergleich zur vorherigen Version 1.33 hat der RAM-Verbrauch einer typischen BusyBox 1.34-Kompilation um 9620 Byte zugenommen (von 1032724 auf 1042344 Byte).         <\/p>\n<p>BusyBox ist ein zentrales Werkzeug im Kampf gegen GPL-Verst\u00f6\u00dfe in Firmware. Die Organisationen Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) und Software Freedom Law Center (SFLC) haben im Namen der Entwickler von BusyBox sowohl gerichtlich als auch durch au\u00dfergerichtliche Vereinbarungen erfolgreich auf Unternehmen eingewirkt, die keinen Zugang zum Quellcode von GPL-Programmen gew\u00e4hren.
