In der Bibliothek libssh (nicht zu verwechseln mit libssh2), die zur Implementierung der Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr den SSHv2-Protokoll f\u00fcr Client- und Serveranwendungen in C gedacht ist, wurde eine Sicherheitsanf\u00e4lligkeit (CVE-2021-3634) entdeckt, die zu einem Puffer\u00fcberlauf f\u00fchrt, wenn der Schl\u00fcsselwechselprozess (rekey) mit einem Schl\u00fcssel-Austauschmechanismus initiiert wird, der einen anderen Hash-Algorithmus verwendet. Das Problem wurde in Version 0.9.6 behoben. <\/p>\n

Das Kernproblem besteht darin, dass die Schl\u00fcsselaustauschoperation die Verwendung von kryptografischen Hashes mit einer Snapshot-Gr\u00f6\u00dfe zul\u00e4sst, die von dem urspr\u00fcnglich verwendeten Algorithmus abweicht. Dabei wurde der Speicher f\u00fcr den Hash in libssh basierend auf der urspr\u00fcnglichen Hash-Gr\u00f6\u00dfe zugewiesen, und die Verwendung eines gr\u00f6\u00dferen Hashes f\u00fchrt zur \u00dcberschreibung von Daten au\u00dferhalb des zugewiesenen Puffers. Als Backup-Schutzma\u00dfnahme kann die Liste der unterst\u00fctzten Schl\u00fcsselaustauschverfahren auf Algorithmen mit identischer Hash-Gr\u00f6\u00dfe beschr\u00e4nkt werden.
