Es wurde ein Update der Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS Distribution ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung umfasst nur die angesammelten Paketupdates, die sich mit der Behebung von Sicherheitsanf\u00e4lligkeiten und Stabilit\u00e4tsproblemen befassen. Die Versionen des Kernels und der Programme entsprechen der Version 18.04.5. <\/p>\n

Das Hauptziel der neuen Ver\u00f6ffentlichung besteht darin, die Installationsbilder f\u00fcr die Architekturen amd64 und arm64 zu aktualisieren. Im Installationsbild wurden Probleme im Zusammenhang mit der R\u00fccknahme von Schl\u00fcsseln beim Beheben der zweiten Variante der BootHole-Sicherheitsanf\u00e4lligkeit im GRUB2-Bootloader gel\u00f6st. Damit wurde die M\u00f6glichkeit, Ubuntu 18.04 auf Systemen mit UEFI Secure Boot zu installieren, wiederhergestellt. <\/p>\n

Es macht nur Sinn, die bereitgestellte Version f\u00fcr neue Installationen zu verwenden, w\u00e4hrend f\u00fcr neue Systeme die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS relevanter ist. Bereits installierte Systeme k\u00f6nnen alle \u00c4nderungen, die in Ubuntu 18.04.6 enthalten sind, \u00fcber das integrierte Update-System erhalten. Der Support f\u00fcr die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Updates und die Behebung von Sicherheitsproblemen f\u00fcr die Server- und Desktop-Editionen von Ubuntu 18.04 LTS wird bis April 2023 fortgesetzt, danach werden f\u00fcr weitere 5 Jahre Updates im Rahmen eines separaten kostenpflichtigen Supports (ESM, Extended Security Maintenance) erstellt.
