Die gemeinn\u00fctzige Menschenrechtsorganisation Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) hat beschlossen, das Browser-Add-On HTTPS Everywhere als veraltet einzustufen. Das Add-On HTTPS Everywhere war f\u00fcr alle g\u00e4ngigen Browser verf\u00fcgbar und erm\u00f6glichte die Nutzung von HTTPS auf allen Webseiten, wo dies m\u00f6glich war, um das Problem mit Seiten zu l\u00f6sen, die standardm\u00e4\u00dfig unverschl\u00fcsselten Zugang bieten, aber HTTPS unterst\u00fctzen, sowie mit Ressourcen, die Links aus einem sicheren Bereich auf unverschl\u00fcsselte Seiten nutzen. <\/p>\n

Am Ende dieses Jahres wird die Entwicklung des Add-Ons eingestellt, aber um den Prozess der Einstellung der Nutzung von HTTPS Everywhere zu gl\u00e4tten, wird das Projekt im Jahr 2022 im Wartungsmodus bleiben, was die M\u00f6glichkeit umfasst, Updates bei schwerwiegenden Problemen herauszugeben. Der Grund f\u00fcr die Einstellung von HTTPS Everywhere ist, dass in Browsern nun standardm\u00e4\u00dfige Optionen f\u00fcr die automatische Weiterleitung zu HTTPS beim \u00d6ffnen einer Webseite \u00fcber HTTP verf\u00fcgbar sind.
