Das LLVM-Projekt hat den Wechsel von einem Mailing-Listensystem zur Website llvm.discourse.group auf der Discourse-Plattform bekannt gegeben, um die Kommunikation unter Entwicklern und die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von Ank\u00fcndigungen zu erleichtern. Bis zum 20. Januar werden alle Archive der vergangenen Diskussionen auf die neue Plattform migriert. Ab dem 1. Februar werden die Mailinglisten im Nur-Lese-Modus verf\u00fcgbar sein. Der Wechsel wird die Kommunikation f\u00fcr Neulinge einfacher und vertrauter machen, Diskussionen im llvm-dev strukturieren sowie eine umfassende Moderation und Spam-Filterung erm\u00f6glichen. Teilnehmer, die die Weboberfl\u00e4che und die mobile App nicht nutzen m\u00f6chten, k\u00f6nnen das in Discourse bereitgestellte Gateway f\u00fcr die Kommunikation per E-Mail nutzen. <\/p>\n

Die Discourse-Plattform bietet ein System von linearen Diskussionen, die als Ersatz f\u00fcr Mailinglisten, Webforen und Chats angeboten werden. Eine thematische Trennung auf Basis von Tags wird unterst\u00fctzt, Benachrichtigungen \u00fcber neue Antworten auf Nachrichten werden versendet, die Liste der Nachrichten in den Themen wird in Echtzeit aktualisiert, Inhalte werden dynamisch w\u00e4hrend des Lesens geladen, es gibt die M\u00f6glichkeit, sich f\u00fcr interessante Bereiche anzumelden und Antworten per E-Mail zu senden. Das System ist in Ruby unter Verwendung des Ruby on Rails-Frameworks und der Ember.js-Bibliothek geschrieben (die Daten werden in einer PostgreSQL-Datenbank gespeichert, und der schnelle Cache wird in Redis gehalten). Der Code wird unter der GPLv2-Lizenz ver\u00f6ffentlicht.
