Die neue Edition zeichnet sich durch die Integration von Wi-Fi (2.4GHz 802.11n) aus, das auf dem Chip Infineon CYW43439 basiert. Der Chip CYW43439 unterst\u00fctzt auch Bluetooth Classic und Bluetooth Low-Energy, diese Funktionen sind jedoch derzeit auf der Platine noch nicht aktiviert. Der Preis f\u00fcr die neue Platine betr\u00e4gt 6 Dollar, was zwei Dollar teurer ist als das erste Modell. Das Board verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber 2MB Flash-Speicher, unterst\u00fctzt jedoch eine Erweiterung auf bis zu 16MB. F\u00fcr die Ein- und Ausgabe sind GPIO-Ports (30 Pins, von denen 4 f\u00fcr analoge Eing\u00e4nge vorgesehen sind), UART, I2C, SPI, USB (Client und Host mit Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr das Booten von Speicherger\u00e4ten im UF2-Format) sowie 8 spezielle PIO-Kontakte (Programmable I\/O State Machines) zur Verbindung mit eigener Peripherie vorgesehen. Die Stromversorgung kann innerhalb eines Bereichs von 1,8 bis 5,5 Volt erfolgen, was die Verwendung verschiedener Energiequellen erm\u00f6glicht, einschlie\u00dflich zwei oder drei herk\u00f6mmlicher AA-Batterien oder g\u00e4ngiger Lithium-Ionen-Akkus.        <\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr die Erstellung von Anwendungen kann die Programmiersprache C, C++ oder MicroPython verwendet werden. Der MicroPython Port f\u00fcr das Raspberry Pi Pico wurde gemeinsam mit dem Autor des Projekts vorbereitet und unterst\u00fctzt alle Funktionen des Chips, einschlie\u00dflich des eigenen PIO Erweiterungsanschlusses. Die integrierte Entwicklungsumgebung Thonny wurde f\u00fcr die Entwicklung des RP2040 Chips unter Verwendung von MicroPython angepasst. Die M\u00f6glichkeiten des Chips sind ausreichend, um Anwendungen f\u00fcr maschinelles Lernen auszuf\u00fchren, f\u00fcr die ein Port des TensorFlow Lite Frameworks vorbereitet wurde.
