Der Projektcode wird unter der BSD-Lizenz verteilt.    <\/p>\n<p>Zu den Hauptzielen des Projekts geh\u00f6rt die Gew\u00e4hrleistung einer hohen Portabilit\u00e4t des Betriebssystems auf Ger\u00e4ten mit begrenztem Speicher und ohne MMU (Memory Management Unit). DiscoBSD kann auf Systemen mit 128 KB RAM und 128 KB Flash betrieben werden, wobei der Kernel im Flash geladen wird und etwa 32 KB RAM verwendet, w\u00e4hrend die verbleibenden 96 KB f\u00fcr Benutzeranwendungen reserviert werden.
