Die erste stabile Version des Projekts nghttp3 ist verf\u00fcgbar, das eine Bibliothek in C f\u00fcr die Implementierung des HTTP\/3-Protokolls entwickelt. Der HTTP\/3-Standard definiert die Verwendung des QUIC-Protokolls (Quick UDP Internet Connections) als Transport f\u00fcr HTTP\/2. QUIC ist ein Overlay \u00fcber dem UDP-Protokoll, das die Multiplexierung mehrerer Verbindungen unterst\u00fctzt und Verschl\u00fcsselungsmethoden bietet, die TLS\/SSL entsprechen. Das Protokoll wurde 2013 von Google als Alternative zu der Kombination TCP+TLS f\u00fcr das Web entwickelt, um Probleme mit langen Verbindungsaufbau- und Aushandlungszeiten in TCP zu l\u00f6sen und Verz\u00f6gerungen bei Paketverlusten w\u00e4hrend der Daten\u00fcbertragung zu beseitigen. <\/p>\n
nghttp3 bietet eine unabh\u00e4ngige Implementierung der Spezifikationen RFC 9114 (HTTP\/3 \u00fcber das QUIC-Protokoll), RFC 920 (QPACK Header-Kompressionstechnologie), RFC 9220 (\u00dcbertragung von WebSockets \u00fcber HTTP\/3) und RFC 9218 (erweiterbares Schema zur Verwaltung der Priorit\u00e4ten bei der Beantwortung von Clientanfragen). Die Bibliothek ist unabh\u00e4ngig von bestimmten QUIC-Stacks und unterst\u00fctzt den Betrieb \u00fcber verschiedene Implementierungen des QUIC-Transportprotokolls. Gleichzeitig entwickelt das Projekt auch eine eigene Implementierung des QUIC-Protokolls \u2014 ngtcp2, die standardm\u00e4\u00dfig verwendet wird.
