Nach einem Jahr Entwicklung wurde die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Linux-Distribution BackBox Linux 8.1 bekannt gegeben, die auf Ubuntu 22.04 basiert und mit einer Sammlung von Werkzeugen zur \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung der Systemsicherheit, Testen von Exploits, Reverse Engineering, Analyse des Netzwerkverkehrs und drahtloser Netzwerke, Untersuchung von Malware, Stresstests sowie Aufdeckung versteckter oder verlorener Daten geliefert wird. Die Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che basiert auf Xfce. Die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe des ISO-Images betr\u00e4gt 4,2 GB (x86_64). In der neuen Version sind das aktualisierte Xfce-Desktop-Umgebung und das Linux-Kernel (5.15), die Bereitstellung neuer Versionen von Sicherheitstools und das Update des ISO-Images, das im Hybridformat gebaut und f\u00fcr die Bootf\u00e4higkeit auf UEFI-Systemen angepasst wurde, zu beachten.
