Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung DB-Engines hat ihr Beliebtheitsranking von DBMS aktualisiert und dem Projekt PostgreSQL den Titel DBMS des Jahres 2023 verliehen, das im Laufe des Jahres das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Wachstum an Beliebtheit von 417 \u00fcberwachten Systemen gezeigt hat. Der zweite Platz ging an die Cloud-Plattform Databricks, die im Ranking von Platz 19 auf Platz 17 gestiegen ist, w\u00e4hrend der dritte Platz an die Engine Google BigQuery ging, die von Platz 21 auf Platz 19 aufgestiegen ist. <\/p>\n

PostgreSQL wurde bereits 2020, 2018 und 2017 zur Datenbank des Jahres gek\u00fcrt. In den Jahren 2022 und 2021 ging dieser Titel an die Datenbank Snowflake, 2019 an MySQL, 2016 an Microsoft SQL Server, 2015 an Oracle und 2013 sowie 2014 an MongoDB. <\/p>\n

Die Berechnungsmethode des Rankings von DBMS \u00e4hnelt dem Ranking der Programmiersprachen TIOBE und ber\u00fccksichtigt die Beliebtheit von Suchanfragen in Suchmaschinen, die Anzahl der Ergebnisse in den Suchergebnissen, das Volumen der Diskussionen auf beliebten Diskussionsplattformen und sozialen Netzwerken, die Anzahl der Stellenangebote bei Personalvermittlungen und die Erw\u00e4hnungen in Benutzerprofilen. <\/p>\n

Was die Verteilung der Datenbanken im Ranking betrifft, so belegt PostgreSQL weiterhin den vierten Platz, trotz des gr\u00f6\u00dften Anstiegs in der gesamten Rangliste \u2014 34,11 Punkte. Auch das Projekt Databricks zeigt ein Wachstum der Beliebtheit (+19,7 Punkte, Aufstieg von Platz 19 auf 17), Google BigQuery (+9 Punkte, von 21 auf 19) und Snowflake (+8,66 Punkte, von 11 auf 9). Das Lager Elasticsearch stieg von Platz 8 auf 7, die Datenbank Firebird von 33 auf 29, ClickHouse von 44 auf 37, Prometheus von 62 auf 50, OpenSearch von 48 auf 42 und TimescaleDB von 85 auf 76. <\/p>\n

Ein starker R\u00fcckgang der Beliebtheit im Jahresvergleich ist bei MySQL (-88,5 Punkte), Microsoft SQL Server (-42,79), MongoDB (-37,70), Redis (-18,17) und SQLite (-16,29) zu beobachten. Die Datenbank IBM Db2 fiel von Platz 7 auf 8, SQLite von 10 auf 11, CouchDB von 43 auf 45 und CockroachDB von 57 auf 60.
