Seit Version 5.15 ist ein neuer NTFS3-Treiber im Kernel enthalten, der von der Firma Paragon Software entwickelt und unterst\u00fctzt wird. Die Bereitstellung von zwei NTFS-Treibern im Kernel ist nicht sinnvoll, da der alte Treiber seit Jahren nicht mehr aktualisiert wurde, sich in einem bedauerlichen Zustand befindet und nur im Nur-Lese-Modus funktioniert.       <\/p>\n<p>Der neue NTFS3-Treiber unterst\u00fctzt den Schreibmodus und alle Funktionen der aktuellen NTFS 3.1-Version, einschlie\u00dflich erweiterter Dateiattribute, Zugriffssteuer Listen (ACLs), Datenkompression, effektive Handhabung von L\u00fccken in Dateien (sparse) und die Wiederherstellung von Integrit\u00e4t nach Abst\u00fcrzen durch \u00c4nderungswiederholung aus dem Journal. Das Entfernen des alten Treibers sollte sich nicht auf Distributionen auswirken, da beispielsweise Debian \u00fcberhaupt keine NTFS-Treiber aus dem Kernel b\u00fcndelt oder verwendet, sondern den Nutzern die Implementierung ntfs-3g anbietet, die im Benutzermodus arbeitet.
