Zu den distributionsspezifischen Designelementen geh\u00f6rt die Platzierung einer vertikalen Leiste auf der rechten Seite des Bildschirms. Die Distribution entwickelt sich mit Blick auf Arch Linux, unterst\u00fctzt jedoch ein eigenes unabh\u00e4ngiges Repository mit \u00fcber 1500 Paketen und bietet eine Reihe eigener grafischer Tools an. Als Dateisystem wird standardm\u00e4\u00dfig XFS verwendet. Die Builds werden f\u00fcr x86_64-Systeme ver\u00f6ffentlicht (3,7 GB).       <\/p>\n<p>Eigenschaften von KaOS:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> F\u00fcr Systeme mit UEFI wird Systemd-boot zum Booten verwendet.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  F\u00fcr das Brennen von ISO-Dateien auf USB-Laufwerke steht die Schnittstelle IsoWriter zur Verf\u00fcgung, die eine \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung der Korrektheit der geschriebenen Images unterst\u00fctzt.       <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  Als Standard-Office-Paket kommt LibreOffice zum Einsatz, das mit VCL-Plugins f\u00fcr kf5 und Qt5 zusammengestellt wurde und die Verwendung von nativen KDE- und Qt-Dialogen, Schaltfl\u00e4chen, Fensterr\u00e4ndern und Widgets erm\u00f6glicht.       <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Es wird ein Anmeldebildschirm namens Croeso angeboten, der grundlegende Einstellungen bereith\u00e4lt, die nach der Installation m\u00f6glicherweise ge\u00e4ndert werden m\u00fcssen, sowie die M\u00f6glichkeit, Anwendungen zu installieren und Informationen \u00fcber die Distribution und das System anzuzeigen.    <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Distribution KaOS 2024.07\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/7ad7f57c2c9a9e78bc0dfee8c2bb71bf.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  Standardm\u00e4\u00dfig wird das XFS-Dateisystem mit aktivierter Integrit\u00e4tspr\u00fcfung (CRC) und einem separaten B-Baum-Index f\u00fcr freie Inodes (finobt) verwendet.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Eine Option zur \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung der heruntergeladenen ISO-Dateien durch digitale Signaturen ist verf\u00fcgbar.     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Auf dem Anmeldebildschirm, der vom Display-Manager SDDM 0.20.0 bereitgestellt wird, gibt es die Option, im Wayland-Modus zu starten, was in Zukunft den Verzicht auf die Bereitstellung von X11-Komponenten erm\u00f6glichen wird. Bei der Nutzung von Wayland wird der Kompositions-Manager kwin_wayland anstelle des standardm\u00e4\u00dfig verwendeten Weston verwendet.     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Im Installer (Calamares) gibt es im Modus der automatischen Partitionierung die M\u00f6glichkeit, das Dateisystem (XFS, EXT4, BTRFS und ZFS) auszuw\u00e4hlen, ohne in den manuellen Partitionierungsmodus wechseln zu m\u00fcssen.\n<li class=\"l\"> In der Soundbibliothek Phonon, die zur Verwaltung von Audio-Ger\u00e4ten in KDE verwendet wird, wird standardm\u00e4\u00dfig der Backend phonon-mpv aktiviert, der Qt 6 unterst\u00fctzt (der alte Backend auf Basis von VLC ist derzeit noch nicht auf Qt6 portiert).\n<li class=\"l\"> Die GTK2-Bibliothek wurde aus den Repositories entfernt. Die letzte bedeutende Anwendung, die an GTK2 gebunden war, war der Audiobearbeitungseditor Ardour, der seit Version 8.4.0 auf seinen eigenen Fork von GTK umgestiegen ist.      <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In der neuen Version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Die Komponenten des Desktops wurden auf Qt 6.7.2, die Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che KDE Plasma 6.1.3, die KDE Frameworks 6.4.0 und die Anwendungssammlung KDE Gear 24.05.2 aktualisiert.      <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Distribution KaOS 2024.07\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/bee3480f2ba61c16119852c65145e7d7.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>\n<li class=\"l\"> Experimentelle Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die Installation der Distribution auf einem Partition mit dem Dateisystem Bcachefs wurde hinzugef\u00fcgt.
