Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der klassischen Init-System-Software SysVinit 3.10 wurde vorgestellt. Dieses System wurde fr\u00fcher in Linux-Distributionen vor der Einf\u00fchrung von systemd und upstart weit verbreitet und wird weiterhin in Distributionen wie Devuan, Debian GNU\/Hurd und antiX genutzt. Der Code ist in C geschrieben und wird unter der GPLv2-Lizenz ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Die Versionen der mit sysvinit verwendeten Hilfsprogramme insserv und startpar haben sich nicht ge\u00e4ndert. Das Hilfsprogramm insserv organisiert den Bootprozess unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung der Abh\u00e4ngigkeiten zwischen Init-Skripten, w\u00e4hrend startpar f\u00fcr den parallelen Start mehrerer Skripte w\u00e4hrend des Systemstarts sorgt. <\/p>\n

In der neuen Version von SysVinit wurde die Behandlung des Signals SIGRTMIN+4 hinzugef\u00fcgt, sowie die Initiierung des Befehls «shutdown -hP now» zur Beendigung des Systems bei Empfang dieses Signals. Die Behandlung des Signals SIGRTMIN+4 war notwendig, da es von systemd generiert wird, wenn der Benutzer den Befehl «machinectl stop» zur Abschaltung des Systems ausf\u00fchrt. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde in der neuen Version ein Problem im Prozess bootlogd behoben, das zu einer Endlosschleife beim \u00d6ffnen eines Ger\u00e4ts zum Schreiben ohne Durchf\u00fchrung einer Schreiboperation f\u00fchrte.
